Elevate Your Halloween Product Photography with AI 🎃

Are your Halloween product photos feeling a little lackluster? If ghouls and goblins aren’t aligned with your luxury brand, let me show you how to elevate your visuals using AI. With the right prompts, you can create stunning, seasonal imagery that speaks to Halloween without being too literal. Watch my TikTok tutorial here to see the full process!

Step 1: Start with Your Product Photo

Pick a clean, high-quality reference photo of your product. For this tutorial, I used a pair of earrings as my focus. Make sure your product is clearly visible and well-lit.

Step 2: Use Midjourney to Craft the Perfect Background

Upload your reference image to Midjourney and start crafting your prompt. Include style references and color schemes that speak to autumn, like warm oranges and rich browns, but don’t feel tied to literal Halloween motifs. Instead, aim for something that evokes the season with sophistication.

Prompts to Try:
“Photorealistic,” “soft lighting,” “neutral fall background,” “warm oranges and browns,” “luxury autumn mood.”

Step 3: Focus on Design Elements

As the AI generates results, focus on refining design elements like:

  • Background Lighting: Warm, diffused light adds a cozy yet high-end feel.

  • Makeup & Styling: If your product is worn, like jewelry or fashion, consider how styling complements the overall look. I chose soft, neutral makeup to add to the fall aesthetic without overwhelming the product.

Step 4: Refine for Elegance

You’ll want to balance Halloween vibes with luxury. For my example, I avoided overly spooky elements and instead focused on subtle nods to the season—rich browns, dramatic shadows, and a pop of fall makeup.

Tip: Not all brands suit the ghouls and goblins theme. If you’re a luxury brand, opt for seasonal colors and textures while keeping the design minimal and high-end.

Step 5: Select Your Favorite Results

Review the images Midjourney generates. For me, the winning designs were a mix of bold and refined, with rich textures and subtle Halloween tones. Remember, it’s all about matching the visual to your brand’s style while staying true to the season.
